Mama Milele Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation is a young private entity registered in September 2013 and is proud of having approximately 1,000 members. ITS MAIN PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND IMPROVE SOCIAL CONDITIONS OF ITS MEMBERS AND THE SOCIETY AT LARGE. It promotes thrift among members (mostly women) by affording them an opportunity to accumulate their savings and deposits. The model creates a source of funds from which loans can be made available to them without requiring any security guarantees. Also, the loans are offered on better terms such as having reasonable interest rates.
